4 Uses For Solar Panels You Did Not Think Of

By John Basset

The moment you hear the word solar panel one thing you probably think about are the type of individual panels connected to a roof structure acquiring environment friendly energy throughout the day. You are likely correct but on the other hand you may use them to power all sorts of devices, many of which you most likely never imagined yet!

As soon as your car battery seems to lose its electric power when you do not drive it a lot, you'll certainly have to jump start it or recharge it for a while before you can use it. Why not power it all the time without requiring you even being there. Simply attach a 12 Volt solar panel trickle charger to the cigar lighter so when it is light outdoors your battery could well be charging all the time.

There are small to medium sized solar energy fueled rotary turntables that are available which will move in the event that light hits them. These are typically used to show small items such as jewellery but one issue you wouldn't give thought to may be to place seeds on it. As soon as the new plants mature they will not grow at the light source since they are frequently turning around and they will develop straight up.

One quite popular application for compact solar panels lately would be to recharge mobile phone devices. A smallish panel is usually fastened to a battery and utilizing it you can actually power a mobile with sufficient electricity to utilize it for a short while. Just what a lot of people do not understand would be that the charger usually has an Universal serial bus connection therefore you can just about power anything that has that fitting. Fans, light bulbs, heating units, the range is almost unlimited.

In case you have a small pond I imagine you'll like to have a water fountain inside it but they also usually require a substantial amount equipment and energy. You'll find photovoltaic run water features offered that may work if there is light around, this way if you are up and about you will enjoy a attractive water fountain and at nighttime it will stop when you can't view it anyhow.

Something very similar is available for a fish pond, a water pump designed to spin the water about. During the night time pet fish are certainly not very active so they do not need constantly flowing water.

Clearly there are lots of neat things you can do with small scale solar power equipment. Everything that works with electrical energy could be run on solar panels if you want. The ideas are endless and only restricted by your own imagination.

life-changing secrets of the most successful happiest

The human brain, as a whole, may be a truly fascinating specimen, but the real "star" of the show is perhaps the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is responsible for a myriad of bodily processes that, truthfully, would boggle your mind if you had to consciously ensure that each of these processes was not neglected.

Whether it is regulating your heartbeat, or blinking to constantly moisten your eyes, or to play chemist to your digestive system, your subconscious mind runs like an ultra-sophisticated computer that perpetually ensures all vital functions run as smoothly, and as seamlessly, as possible.

But apart from being the "maintenance man" to your body, your subconscious mind also works as a data repository, storing away memories and experiences and processes that your conscious mind deems important. It works around the clock, even as you sleep, and automates certain tasks for you, so you don't have to consciously manage them, like waking up every morning at a specific time so you are not left waking up at random hours.

The subconscious mind can be more than just an internal alarm clock, believe it not. Have you ever had a particular dilemma, only to have someone tell you that perhaps you should "sleep on it?" And then somehow when you wake the next morning, you are struck with an idea or inspiration that would resolve the dilemma which had troubled you the night before? This is the subconscious at work.

Although the subconscious is not capable of rational decisions, remember that the subconscious mind also serves as a repository of information. The subconscious may try and match relevant information that it has stored over the years, and upon your awakening, it relays the information it has to your conscious mind, which then engages in the analysis and rationalization of the information it receives, resulting in a "Eureka" moment when the answer to the dilemma is found.

Feel free to try it for yourself. Give your subconscious a problem to solve before you go to bed. Ponder over the issue at hand, focus on it, and then go to sleep. Chances are you will be able to "stumble upon" an answer in the morning.

Even though you require sleep to ensure a healthy mind and body, your subconscious never sleeps. Instead, it is constantly providing you with a treasure trove of inspiration, aspirations, ideas, solutions and motivation. Not a lot of people are aware of this fact, but the world renowned painting 'Mona Lisa' by Renaissance artist Leonardo Da Vinci, was the result of the famous painter's subconscious.

Speed Up Your Audio Learning

Audio books are a great way to learn new material. You can listen to them everywhere and all the time.
But what if you could speed up the time you spend on listening to audio books. That way you could listen to more audio books in the same amount of time. Just imagine listening to audio books at four times the original speed. That way you can listen to four times as much audio books compared to now.

I easily get distracted while listening to audio books, especially if the narrator is talking at a very low tempo. I talk fast myself and I like to listen to someone who keeps a decent pace. I've noticed I get more involved if I speed it up. My mind wanders less in different directions.

How do you speed the audio up? You don't want to listen to the voice of some cartoon character, while you were expecting James Earl Jones. Most modern media players allow you to play the audio at higher speeds, without altering the pitch. For instance, there are several plug-ins available for WinAMP with which you can speed up the playback without altering the pitch.

If your media player does not support this for CD's or DVD's, first rip it to your hard drive. You won't have this problem with downloadable audio books, because they usually come in formats which you can easily speed up.

How much do you speed it up? First try it at twice the normal speed. If you go back to the original speed it will seem sloooowww. Your mind has adapted to the faster input rate. Try speeding it up a little and if you get used to a certain speed, speed it up a bit more. Of course, if the audio contains real-time listening exercises you can always go back to normal speed.

The sound can be a bit distorted if you speed it up more than a little, so my advice is to use headphones.
That's it. Try it with the next audio book you listen to and adjust the speed to your liking.
Have fun!

Keeping A Cross Country Move Less Stressful

Job transfers, new opportunities and leaving the past behind are all reasons for making a cross country move. Unfortunately, many people find moving, even if just around the corner to be stressful. There are a few steps that will help to keep the stress associated with a cross country move in check.

Experts report that a move to a new community may be one of the most stressful experiences faced by families. It is difficult to face the changes. However, with a few proactive steps parents can help to reduce their stress as well as that of their children.

Begin with a thorough checklist. Many moving companies on the web offer a printable checklist for the move. It might be able to look at two or three to find the one most appropriate for one's own circumstances. Print and keep it in a moving folder. Check off the tasks as they are completed.

Take some time early to clean house. If it is possible, avoid carrying unwanted items across the country that will not be needed when arriving at the new home. Eliminating these items now will reduce the work associated with moving later and the cost of moving. Have a yard sale or donate items to charity. Clean out closets, storage areas and cabinets to reduce the load.

Gather moving supplies such as tape, boxes and packing material. Work in one room at a time. Sort the items that do not need to go from those that are to make the move. Be sure to label each box before taping shut. Store everything in one or two rooms that are rarely used until time for the move.

Begin researching moving companies early in the process. Decide if a self move is better than hiring a moving company. In many instances, the cost of moving oneself provides little savings as compared to leaving the job to the professionals, if the costs of hotel stays and fuel are included in the comparison. If help is needed in getting the home ready for the move, consider paying the movers to pack and or unpack the home.

If getting a vehicle cross country is a problem, enclosed auto transport companies may be helpful. These companies provide a covered tractor trailer in which the automobile is transported without the danger of flying debris from the highway. It is a perfect option for collector cars or other high value vehicles.
You can find reliable enclosed auto transport companies by viewing our web pages. To find out how to receive a free auto transport quote, check out the links at http://www.enclosedautotransport.com today.

9. When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks "Has the bus come yet?" If the bus came, would I be standing here???

7 Simple Ways to Live a Long and Healthy Life

Everyone wants to live a long and healthy life, and there are steps you can take to increase your chances of living a long life. Making healthy choices is the key ingredient to living a long and healthy life. To a large extent, we have control over how healthy our bodies remain throughout our lifetime. Here is a list of 7 simple ways to stay healthy and add years to your life.
  1. Breathe Fresh Air. Of course, this includes being a nonsmoker, but it is also important to get lots of fresh air outdoors. Many people spend their entire lives indoors, going from home to the car to the office, and back again. Getting fresh air outdoors is an important health benefit that is often overlooked. Try to spend at least a few minutes outdoors every day: take a walk or plan outdoor activities.
  2. Drink More Water. If you say you don't like drinking plain water, then chances are you spend much of your life in a state of dehydration, and that is unhealthy. Try to drink between 6-8 glasses of water every day, besides coffee, tea, and soft drinks. Chances are that adding more water to your daily regimen will help you feel better and have more energy.
  3. Sleep Between 6-7 hours Every Night. Getting a good night's sleep is essential to good health, but it is also important to get the right amount of sleep. Researchers have found that those who sleep more than 8 hours or less than 4 hours a night are not as healthy as those who sleep 6-7 hours a night.
  4. Eat Fruits and Vegetables. It is common in American society to eat an entire day's worth of meals and consume very little fruits and vegetables. This bad habit has an adverse effect on your health. Meals eaten at home contain more fruits and vegetables than those consumed in restaurants. So try eating more meals at home, and when on the go try to take some fruit with you.
  5. Restrict Alcohol Consumption. If you drink alcohol, restrict it to one drink per day. Drinking more than 2 drinks daily has been shown to have an adverse effect on health. Some studies have shown that drinking red wine is beneficial, but you still should keep it to no more than one drink per day.
  6. Eat High Fiber Foods Daily. Diets that are high in fiber have been shown to help reduce high blood pressure, avoid high blood sugar, and help with elimination. High fiber foods include whole grain breads and pasta, fruits, beans and legumes.
  7. Exercise Daily. Researchers are finding that exercise plays a huge part in overall health. Those who exercise regularly have been found to be much more likely to lead healthier lives and live longer than those who do not exercise.
These are simple life changes you can start to work on now to make big changes in health as you get older. You don't have to change everything at once. Try working on one item at a time and then once you have made it a habit, go on to another item. These simple life choices can pay big dividends over the years and add happy and healthy years to your life.

How To Get Anything You Want In Life With The Law Of Attraction

If you want to get everything that you want in life then you're going to want to read this article. The manifestation process starts always with asking for what it is that you want. If you have not yet asked for what it is you want that's where you need to start.

In 2013 the majority of society has already seen, heard, or read about Rhonda Byrne's popular book and DVD called The Secret.

If you've never heard of, or about The Secret, it's simply about The Law of Attraction.

The focus of The Secret is covering how our thoughts are things, how what we think about we bring about, and how important it is to focus our minds on that which we desire, rather than focusing on those things that we fear.

How to Get Anything You Want

As earlier mentioned, the first thing that you must do is identify those things that you desire to be manifested in your life.

Not knowing what you want to achieve and accomplish is naive. So what's key here, is that you focus your energy on determining what your goals are.

Once you've located your goals, it's time that you put your goals down in writing. You need to be able to focus on your goals. You should also review whatever it is that you've written down at least twice each day - minimum.

Doing so helps to focus your subconscious mind on the task at hand, which is achieving your goals.

Who Do I Ask?

Okay, so now that you've determined what you want. You should have asked for it by now. What do we mean when we say asking?
Well that depends...
Of course, everyone who reads this is not going to necessarily be a religious person. So don't think that you have to ask God, or some other sort of Deity for what it is that you want. Not to say that it's not a good idea, but it gets a little deeper than that.
When we say ask for what you want, what that means is to keep it on your mind. Never let it out of your sight. It's imperative that you keep your goals and dreams in your mind at all times. This is what actually begins the attraction process.

What Is Your Vehicle?

Now this is where most people take the law of attraction and mess it up. It's okay to have goals, it's also okay to ask for them and review them on a daily basis.

However, what a large majority of the people who follow the law of attraction are not understanding is that you must work to attain the goal.

Many people tend to believe that the law of attraction is some form of magic trick that will reap results without any work required on their parts. To think this way is foolish. If that were the case, everyone in the world would focus on winning the lottery and never have to work ever again.

How's that working out for you?

Next, if you have a job that pays you eight dollars an hour, but you want to attract 100k per month in your life. Isn't it safe to say that this particular line of work is not going to be the vehicle that gets you from where you are to where you want to go?

We must be realistic in the attainment of our goals.
So recapping what we discussed here today we covered the following:
  1. Know what it is you want
  2. Set your goals
  3. Write your goals down on paper
  4. Review your goals twice each day
  5. Ask for what you want
  6. Find a vehicle to help you get what you want.
  7. Work your behind off until it's yours.
Now clearly we did not cover number 7, but that's what it's going to take in order for you to get everything that you want.

After you've followed steps 1 through 6 and you have your intentions set on the fulfillment of that particular goal, if you work your butt off it's only a matter of time until your dreams and goals become manifested in your life and come to fruition.
Most people who focus on learning the law of attraction tend to want to use the law of attraction for money. While there are many other things that we want to attract into our lives, money usually seems to top the list. If you plan to use the law of attraction for anything then the outline given in this article should get you on the right track.

10 Baby Steps To Getting and Staying Organized

Do you purchase magazines that talk about ways to get organized? Do you look through them, enjoy the pictures, but do not seem to have the energy to do them? Do you look around your home and wonder "where do I start?" Do you feel the task is over whelming? If you do feel over whelmed, chances are you will do nothing.

So, let's do baby steps. Here are ten small things you can start on that can make a difference, and will give you the feeling of accomplishment, not failure. You don't even have to do these all today. Try doing one step a day for the next ten days:
Paper: seems to mount up and soon get out of control. If you have a paper delivered to your home everyday, plus flyers, plus mail and magazines, this can instantly become clutter. Blitz through your home collecting up all newspapers and magazines and put into your recycling bin. You should keep only current reading material in your magazine rack or basket. I keep one magazine basket in both of my bathrooms, and one in the living room. Rotate your magazines, and put your older issues in a donation bag or into your recycling bin. Collect up all mail, paper receipts, notes, appointment slips, etc. that you have tucked into cupboards, on the counters, your purse, on the table, and put them all in one central location like your desk. You can even organize them into piles - like with like. All your receipts in one pile, bills in another, etc. Just by putting into one central location will eliminate that scattered feeling.

Kitchen Counters: Clean off your kitchen counter top. If you have papers there, collect them all up and take them to your office or your desk. You can deal with them later, but if you have a clean kitchen counter, it will feel and look instantly gratifyingly, clutter free and organized. Take time now to remove everything that does not belong on your kitchen counters, wash up the dishes, scrub the sink and make it shine.

The Floor: is not storage space. Do you have clothes lying around? Go through now picking them up and putting them away in their respective rooms, closets or into the laundry hamper. While you're at it, throw a load of laundry in. If you have clothes that need folding, do that and get them put away.
Toys: If you have children you should get them on board with collecting up toys and putting them into their toy station or play box.

Entrances: Attack your entrances by organizing your foot wear neatly, hanging up all your coats and removing anything that does not belong in this area. If you have sports equipment, homework and backpacks, put them into the rooms they belong.

Home for purged items: Create a bin or box for "donation" and one for "garage sale." Have a place for them. As you clean up and organize, you have a place to store things that you no longer wear or use. This prevents them from accumulating in your closets and becoming clutter in your home.

Start Purging: Now set a goal everyday to be "purge conscious." Getting organized doesn't mean stripping your home of things you love or use. You just need to be conscious of the things you are not using or are outdated, cracked or broken. Make decisions daily and put these trinkets or items into your bins. You still have time to retrieve them if you change your mind and made a mistake. But put them into the bin and just see if you will even miss them. Just by purging one thing everyday will take away the overwhelming feeling and start you on the road to de-cluttering your home and closets. It could be a shirt you never wear, a trinket on the side table that is just collecting dust, or a bowl that has a chip in it.

Bulletin Board: Create a bulletin board to post your messages, appointments, coupons, phone numbers, pictures, receipts, "to do" lists, instructions, etc. Just by making a home for these in one central location removes a lot of clutter.

Stay Organized Organizing Secret: Every activity must have a station. Every thing must have a home. Take a moment to consider what is becoming clutter - most likely it doesn't have a home or activity station. Give consideration to some place you can make a station for that activity. For example, If you con't have a desk or office for doing your bookwork, then it will pile up onto your dining room table. Make a station for this activity, either a nook where you can put a table or desk. Or, a basket with a lid that can store all of supplies like your cheque book, calculator, pens, stapler, bills. If it has a home, it won't become clutter.

Stay Organized Organizing Secret: Make the most of every step. Never walk by dirty dishes on the coffee table, or wrappers, empty pop cans. If you are going by, pick it up and take it with you. If you are going downstairs, take a load of laundry, if you coming upstairs, bring up the folded clothes and put them away.

Continue Staying Organized

Once you have organized your space whether it is a drawer or an entire room, the real challenge is keeping it that way. Many clients get their area or areas organized, but fail to realize that it requires monitoring and purging. It will take some additional work to maintain the organized space.

Once you have found a system that works for you, you must continue to monitor that system because updating is often needed. At least once per month you should look at the space and decide if there is a piece of the puzzle not working for you and readjust. Maybe you need to just take a few items out, or label some pieces you forget about because they are out of sight. After you have organized the space, make sure you come back in 6 months and look at all the pieces to see if some you have not used since the organization, and purge those. Eliminate items you are not using so those you are using are easily accessible. Making decisions about items coming into the space immediately will eliminate clutter because clutter is delayed decisions.

Review your processes for system often to make adjustments to reflect your current life. If you started the organizing when your child was 2 and they are now 13, the system should look and be different. If you change occupations or your family status changes, make adjustments to accommodate your changes. To stay on top of your spaces review them often.

By being more organized and knowing how to manage your life properly, you would be stress free and become a more productive individual. Here are some tips to organize your life!

Why You Need To Own A Greenhouse

By Steve Zones

The advantages of a greenhouse are extensive. These atmospheric-controlled structures can vary from small window-boxes to large walk-in buildings. They give home gardeners with possibilities to repeat certain weather conditions to be able to grow a number of plants.

A green house extends the growing season as the amount of moisture, light, and temperature can be controlled. A gardener can plant seeds earlier in the year than she or he can in outdoor environments. Also, at the end of the growing season, plants can survive longer because they're not endangered by frost. The amount of sunlight is usually handled by the physical placement of the structure as well as by incorporating reflective materials. Temperatures can be checked and controlled by heat devices, heaters, fans, and vents. Dampness levels can also be controlled.

These structures also let gardeners to grow crops which could not be able to flourish the natural way in the outside environment. For example, a grower in a dry, arid weather like Arizona, can certainly produce a damp, warm setting in which tropical crops can flourish. Also, amazing orchids could be grown in chilled north locations. There are automated sensors, watering systems, misters, alarms, and roof covers available. The growing choices only limited by the amount of money a gardener wishes to shell out.

Unwanted pests and possible predators may be managed more quickly in these settings. Deer, hens, moles, squirrels, slugs, and insects can ruin plants. In indoor conditions, the plants are more protected from these unwanted pests. Nevertheless, rats may be able to dig under wall space, via grills or windows. Screens and mousetraps are effective in preventing them from getting inside. In addition, if a greenhouse doesn't have a solid floor, the structure need to be examined closely to make certain digging creatures don't gain entry.

These enclosed structures also make it easier for gardeners to contain helpful insects. One example is, ladybugs work well at managing damaging mites and aphids. In outside gardens, ladybugs can be disturbed by powerful wind gusts. Also, they may opt to relocate when their preferred food supply ends. These complications are efficiently prevented in encased settings. To supplement the ladybug's diet, the gardener may grow some favored herbs, like cilantro, dill, and fennel.

Along with offering a safeguarded, climate-controlled environment for plants, these structures can improve the gardener's pleasure. She or he doesn't need to stop gardening during times of rough weather or at night. More of their time may be spent in the garden, which will help generate healthier plants.

Greenhouses also have financial value. With the ever-increasing costs of fruit and veggies, households can save money by growing their own food. Besides the economic benefit, the health-conscious family can grow without chemicals. Gardeners can control how their food is grown, and avoid using harmful bug sprays and weed killers.

Many gardeners understand the multiple important things about a greenhouse. These structures may be intended to copy almost any growing environment. They allow unusual, non-native plants to be nurtured in any setting. For example, they can allow cacti to survive in cold, wet climates, and ferns to survive in dry, hot regions.

Printable Calendars Help Organize Your Life

Printable Calendars can make life more organized. Many online sites offer printable calendars for free and even offer a variety of styles of calendars to print. Families these days seem to be busier than ever before. You have the usual doctor appointments, dentist appointments, birthdays, and days off from school that you need to keep track of, as well as all the social activities that each family member participates in.

Dad may have dates planned with Mom or a night out with the boys or even a basketball game to play. Mom may have decided to have people over or maybe a night out with the girls. She could have a book club or even most likely she may need to be available to drive the kids to their social engagements. Kids are definitely busier now than ever before with school activities, study nights, sports, scouts, play dates, and more. How in the world do you keep track of all the activities and appointments?

Printable calendars allow you to print the calendar in whichever format fits your family the best. You can have one month on a page or all twelve months on one page. You can even print "week at a glance" type of calendars with give you more area for writing. Some sites also allow you to input information to the calendar before you print it. This can be a great feature because the typed information takes less space than the handwritten and can allow more information per date.

You can generate your calendar with all the known birthdays already on the calendar so you won't have to remember them from year to year. There is nothing worse than remembering a birthday after it has already passed. So make sure you put them on your calendar in advance.

The printable calendar can also be customized with text and pictures of your choice. Wouldn't it be nice to have different pictures for each month? How about a Lamborghini or Ferrari if you are a car buff or a snow scene for winter? You can even upload your own images on some sites. You could have pictures of your children or pet for each month of the year. You could even add quotes or scripture to completely personalize your calendar. It is much nicer than just a planner because it can look so nice when you post the calendar.
Another nice feature of printable calendars is that each family member can have their own personalized calendar for things they need to keep track of that doesn't affect the whole family such as homework assignments and tests or project due dates for outside activities. Does Dad have meetings at work? He may need a calendar to help him budget the time in order to get the necessary paperwork completed in time for his meeting.

Life doesn't ever seem to slow down and some people don't want it to, but if you cannot keep it all straight, printable calendars (or even one for each family member) just might be the thing for you.

Chasing Happiness

The thing I have heard the most during the years I have been counseling clients is, "I want to be happy." I have heard that refrain even more than I have heard, "I want to find my soul mate." Even when people are tired of living alone, they want to be happy more than they want to find a partner.

I came across a quote by an unknown author who said, "When I was in grade school, they told me to write down what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down happy. They told me I didn't understand the assignment, I told them they didn't understand life."

People speak of happiness as if it's something tangible that they can reach out and grab like the brass ring on the merry-go-round. They even speak of it as if it is something that can be pursued like a business plan for an entrepreneurial enterprise.

What most people don't understand is that happiness is an outgrowth of something; it doesn't stand alone and it can't be captured like a citadel. It usually comes to someone who is engaged in doing something that he is enjoying without actively pursuing enjoyment or happiness.

Happiness is that elusive feeling that sneaks up on you and warms you from the inside out. It can't even be defined but it often accompanies a feeling of euphoria for no apparent reason. You can find yourself smiling and not even be aware that you are doing it.

Many people think they have to reach a certain goal in order to be happy. Their thoughts are often, "When I'm old enough to vote, I'll be able to... " "After I graduate, I'll be able to... " "As soon as I get my first paycheck, I'll... " "When I get married and have children, I'll... " It is always something beyond their grasp. What they don't realize is that true happiness is derived from appreciating what you have. It's the ability to live in the present and enjoy as many moments as you can.

The future hasn't happened yet so the most you can do is dream about it and plan for it. Your yesterdays are all in the past so all you have are the memories to sustain you. Neither the past memories nor the future's hopes and dreams can bring you happiness but they can fuel your determination to pursue your objectives.
And maybe we should look at those objectives. When did you form those aspirations? What was going on in your life at that time? Were they your dreams or someone else's ambitions for you? Did you have dreams of your own and, equally important, can you be happy living someone else's dream?

Most people, when they are living someone else's dream for them, feel a sense of responsibility to be successful at it but they don't feel that elusive quality of happiness. They move through life doing what is expected of them rather than doing what makes them happy.

My mother used to tell me that it doesn't take much to make me happy. She was right. I find pleasure in little things. Give me my books and my music and I'm a happy camper. I don't need gobs of money and I'm not forever coveting things I don't have or envying others for what they do have.

But there are some things that I must have. I must have a sense of purpose, a sense of accomplishment. I must feel that I am making a difference in the lives of others. They don't have to like me but they do have to benefit from my commitment to fixing everyone's problems.

It's an occupational hazard. When I start talking to someone and they are telling me their problems... about anything... my mind is already zeroing in on the solution. I usually don't voice these problem-solving thoughts but they still persist. I'm at my happiest when I can help someone find happiness. I'm even happy when someone else can help them find happiness.

I'm also happy when I accomplish a task that I didn't think I could accomplish, especially when it's not in my field and I have no frame of reference. It gives me such a bone-deep sense of gratitude that I was able to overcome an obstacle, meet a challenge, stretch my capabilities, that I walk around with a huge smile on my face.

I guess my mother was right. It doesn't take much to make me happy. But for me to reach the zenith of happiness, I would like to try to teach everyone how they can be happy. I'd like to teach them to enjoy what they have to the fullest and not look for things that are unrealistically beyond their reach.

While I agree with the poet, Robert Browning, that a man's reach should exceed his grasp, I think the most difficult and frustrating thing a person can do to himself is to keep trying to grasp things that are unrealistically beyond his reach.

If a person has an IQ of 120, he can use all of it, some of it, or none of it, but he cannot expect to expand it to 185. That would be unrealistic, and yet, that kind of unrealistic goal is exactly what I see other people pursuing.

People are forever wanting MORE but they can't even define what MORE means to them. They keep thinking that more will make them happy but they find that even when they get more, they are still not happy so they think they need still more.

I have a very simple philosophy of life. Find something that gives meaning to your life, that you feel passionate about, and that you derive great joy from doing, and you will discover that you're holding the key to happiness.

Starting A Career In Freelance Writing

I want to be a professional writer. Many people say that every day but are not sure how to get started in the field. It appears as though when people think about writers, they think of someone sitting on a couch somewhere, eating Ramen Noodles, struggling to write the Great American Novel. Writing is such a wide open field and freelance writing is an amazing opportunity to be able to make a name for yourself in the profession and find what you are doing to be very viable and rewarding.

Freelance writing can be in a variety of different fields. One can do technical writing, creative writing, article writing, grants, and copywriting. The possibilities are virtually endless; it really depends on what you want to do. The best way to get started is to get started. I know that sounds way too simple and way too cliché but it is true. Find a niche that you feel most comfortable working with and go from there.

There are two things that every freelance writer must have in order to start. One of them is you have to have a computer with an internet connection. It doesn't matter what kind of computer, it can be a laptop, a desktop or even a tablet. However, it has to be a device where you can easily write down your words and get them sent out whenever necessary. You also must have an internet connection or at least have ready access to one. You might need to research a topic that you are not familiar with, or a style that you have not written in and being able to go on the internet at a moment's notice makes that process easy. You also have to be easy to reach in case your editor or your contact person needs to reach you, and sometimes very quickly.

Those are the two absolute necessities of the job, but as you continue on in the field, you may find that there are other requirements that can definitely help you do well and succeed. A sample of your writing is always a good idea. Prospective employers might want to take a look at your writing and see if your style fits in with their vision. It is always smart to have a small portfolio at the ready in case you are asked and particularly, if you are freelancing, having two or three different samples written in two or three different styles. For example, perhaps having one piece is an article review and then another piece is some sort of creative writing. You never know what you may be asked to write about, so it never hurts to be prepared.
Finally, writing is a craft and one always has to work on their craft in order to be the best they can be. Write every day, if you can and even if it is only for a small amount of time. A little practice always goes a long way.

3 Tips on How to Come Up With New Ideas for Your Articles

In this article I am going to give you 3 tips on where to go to get ideas for your articles. Content needs to be relevant to your readers and therefore the best place to go for ideas is the very place your readers go!
Whatever your niche topic is that you write about you will probably know where people who are interested in this topic go to found out information. These are the types of places you can go to find out the questions and discussions that are going in and these are the things you can then write about.

Here are my 3 tips on where to go:

Blogs
Go to the most popular blogs in your niche and in particular the blogs that get lots of comments from the readers.

Look at those comments are you will find plenty of ideas for content! People will be asking questions, giving their opinion and sharing ideas.
You can take these comments and then write an article about it.

Forums
Go and visit the forums that talk about topics that you write about. Have a look at the discussions that people are having and the kind of questions and comments that are being left.
By reading through these you will come up with plenty of ideas that you can then write about.
You can also look at the various topics categories that the forum has ands use that for content ideas.

Facebook
There are lots of Facebook groups that you can join where a group of people with a common interest chat about their experiences related to that interest.

Often people in these groups chat in a more relaxed and informal way and therefore you are likely to discover extra topics and bits of information that you might not on a blog or forum.
This is a great place to go and hang out. Chatting with other people and finding out what they like reading or talking about will not only give you ideas for articles but will also provide you with really relevant and current issues that people are talking about.

If you use this for ideas and then write about it you will be providing content that is up to date and really relevant.

I'm sure that you can come up with other places you could use for content than the few I have listed above. Anywhere where people interested in your topic are chatting is a great place for you to hang out too.

Make Money by Freelance Writing

Every person in the world has this opportunity - Learning how to write. And write well. I am more than convinced that there are a lot of people out there like you who are very talented in writing. It can be that you are an expert in a certain field or that you just like to write about everyday topics. No matter what: If you have the gift of writing well then take advantage of it! Write an ebook about a specific topic! Write a blog and make money by your advertisements!

All these ways are good opportunities to make money. Believe me, there are more than enough bloggers who need to have articles written for them. So how about you sign up as an author of articles? You catch two flies at a time: You can do what you love doing and on the other hand you even receive money for what you are doing! Use this opportunity! Take a seat, search the web for article writing and start today! Not only is there the chance of going in-depth of a topic and learning more about it yourself but you can also improve your writing enormously.

Start writing articles today. Show your talent and share it with other people. I am sure you are going to make a lot of money by writing articles for bloggers! And if you have the patience of taking some more time, write an ebook about a topic you are very much knowing about. The great chance for writing an ebook is that you have a product which doesn't cost anything in producing and can be sold at an affordable price. That is why profits with ebooks are also that high.

To promote it, you can let affiliates post it on their webpages to link them with your website. This is also an excellent opportunity of making good money. On the other hand, article writing shows you the results much quicker than writing an ebook. You can really just go for the writing and finish it in a relatively short time whereas for the ebook you really need patience and endurance. Just keep it going! Write and write! The more you write the better you will get at it. It also took me some time to get used to writing.

Finally, what is very important for me to say is that you are also patient in writing. Good writing does not come out of rushing but much more out of taking your time, going through your thoughts and what you wanted to say, reading through the article again and again.

Top 5 Foods to Help You Lose Weight

Losing weight is about getting healthy so it is important that you eat well and don't just cut calories. That being said, there are some foods that are better for weight loss efforts than others. Each of these five foods supports weight loss efforts in one way or another and will help you remain healthy as well.

1. Cauliflower
It probably comes as no surprise to anyone that eating vegetables can help them lose weight. After all, mothers all over the world are constantly telling their kids to finish their veggies and it has to be for a reason. Plus, as every dieter knows, vegetables are low in calories but high in volume which can help you feel full for longer without taking in a lot of excess calories.

However, the main problem is that lots of people just don't like vegetables. Cauliflower has a mild flavor that makes it an easy item to include in all sorts of meals. If you think you don't like cauliflower then you probably just need to explore some different avenues for eating it.

One option is to look for recipes where parents "hide" vegetables to feed them to their kids. This includes things like blending cauliflower into macaroni and cheese and cooking carrots into pasta sauce. While it can involve a lot of work it is viable option for people who otherwise wouldn't be getting their veggies.

2. Brown Rice
Grains are staple foods that are important in Western diets but many forms of grains used are highly processed. Processed grains have lost their fiber which helps you feel full longer and much of their nutrition which supports general health. As the Insanity Nutrition Guide points out, overall health is incredibly important for fitness efforts and fitness is the key to maintaining weight loss.

Again, many people just don't enjoy the flavor of brown rice. It is important to pick and choose your battles when it comes to eating healthier so that you don't give up entirely. Mix brown and white rice or make a wild rice dish where the nuttier flavor of the brown rice fits in.

3. Lentils
Beans are something to be feared by many people because they can cause gas. However, there are too many benefits to beans to pass them by simply because of a little flatulence which can be avoided if you are careful. They are high in fiber, high in protein and full of important micronutrients and vitamins.

Cooking your own lentils is the best way to avoid the flatulence-inducing consequences. This is because soaking the beans overnight and then rinsing them carefully is an important step in washing away the gas-producing starches. Some beans are more prone to causing people problems than others as well. Lentils are usually not as bad as black or pinto beans. Eat a little bit at a time until you are adapted.

4. Almonds
Add valuable fatty acids and some vitamin E to your diet with a small amount of nuts. These superfoods are high in fat so eat them sparingly, though. They contain vital fatty acids that the body needs to function at its best. Especially if you are performing a task that requires you consult the Insanity Nutrition Guide good fuel is essential.

Almonds are also a good source of protein but the canned variety is full of saturated fat and salt. In order to avoid this purchase dry roasted, unsalted or raw options. Peanuts, cashews and brazil nuts are also options if you don't like almonds.

5. Low-fat Yogurt
Human protein requirements are actually fairly low. However, protein is not converted to energy the same way that carbohydrates are and a higher-protein diet can be helpful in maintaining blood sugar levels. It is also needed to rebuild muscle fibers after rigorous exercise.

Low-fat yogurt combines protein with calcium, a nutrient that many people do not get enough of. A deficiency of calcium can cause weak bones which would obviously impair your ability to exercise intensely. There is some evidence that a protein-rich diet also aids in helping people feel full longer.

Add Years to Your Life With 150 Minutes a Week

In today's age of electronics, inactivity and comfort seem almost synonymous to each other. Most of us lead sedate lives with very little physical activity in our daily routines. From cars to electronic household appliances, gadgets all over seem to help us accomplish our daily tasks with a simple push of a button. However, the one factor that suffers seriously in these circumstances is our health. Studies indicate that lack of exercise contributes towards many of the diseases that the human body suffers from.

The department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has however shown us ray of light in its report that was published in October 2008. The report states that any exercise regime, which subjects the body to 150 minutes of moderately intense physical activity in a week, is good enough to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle.

Interestingly, the nature of the physical activity does not hamper the final effects that the exercise has on the body. So, be it swimming, dancing, aerobics, cycling, weightlifting or even a simple walk round the block, 150 minutes of the activity every week is all a person needs.

While the basic intent is to maintain an aerobic pace for 150 minutes in a week, various suggestions have been made in the report on how persons of different age groups can meet this mark.

• Over 65 years - Since older adults need to exercise keeping their fitness levels in mind and ensure that they do not go overboard and cause injury to their bodies, walking and jogging are highly recommended for those over 65 years of age. Resistance bands and exercise classes are also favored a few times a week for strength building.

• Working Adult - For those of us who find time a huge constraint in our daily lives, the HHS report suggests exercising for only three days a week for 30 minutes each. The trick is simply to push ones self to perform harder in order to reap similar results as the 150 minute program. Cycling, weight training, running and other similar programs are highly advised for those who wish to burn calories and build muscle mass, without having to compromise ones life schedule tremendously.

• Children - Our young are facing obesity and with it several diseases due to lack of exercise in their lives. Since children need much more physical activity than adults, the HHC report suggests at least 1 hour of moderate to intense physical activity per day for those between 6 and 17 years of age. This can be broken up during the day into sets of 20 minutes each, comprising of Frisbee throwing, walking to school, attending physical education classes, etc.

Conclusion

The basic aim of the HHC report is to educate the readers about the need to incorporate the 150 minute plan in their lives and also demonstrate to them how this can be done with ease. The flexibility of the 150 minute plan allows almost anyone to make it suitable to his or her lifestyle. Needless to say, the study inspires many to give up their couch potato lives for a healthier option.

This plan should include food plan. All of these should be done under expert's guidance.

You can do your exercise regularly with a routine, it may be daily or it may be several times a week. You should have a strict plan and a possible goal. The goal may be termed basis so that it may become achievable. To set a goal, first know what you want to get from these programs so that planning can be easy for you. Prepare your program for long term period to get a sustained result. Bring variation in your program, include family members, intermingle your program with your regular home work. So it will not make you bore again and you won't stop following your program. You'll stick to your program and you'll get a sustained healthy life.

How to Practice Good Sports Nutrition

Sports nutrition is defined as the study and practice of nutrition and dieting as it relates to athletes and their performance. It is mainly concerned with the types and quantities of food and drink ingested by athletes and deals with vitamins, minerals, supplements and organic substances such as carbohydrates, proteins and fats, which are the most important macro-nutrients needed to build the ideal athletic diet.

Sports nutrition is something you'll commonly hear in strength and endurance sports like weight lifting, swimming, cycling and running because these are the sports that require athletes to strike a perfect balance in order to sustain themselves during intense workouts and competitions. Sports nutrition is a concept that has been around since the time of the ancient Greeks, who credited their Olympic victories from being able to ably combine wine, meat and bread that gives them all the nutrition they need, as well as the strength and energy to win challenging competitions.
Sports nutrition these days has come a long way from the simple bread, meat and wine regimen of the Greeks. Continuous study has proven that diet along with specialized exercise and training routines enables athletes to lead healthy and productive lifestyles and helps them prevent or manage non-chronic diseases like non-insulin dependent diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease and osteoporosis to name a few.
What you eat and what you drink greatly affects your performance and how you feel during your workouts/training which is why knowing your basics on sports nutrition can not only help keep you healthy but also ensure you make the most of your exercise routine. It is known to often focus on carbohydrates, an example of which is the training routine of endurance athletes, who load up on carbohydrates days before their event to boost their performance. It is also best to complement your diet regimens with the best sports supplements as well to take care of any nutritional gaps.

Sports nutrition goes beyond what you eat because you need to consider the times when you need to eat as well as coordinating your meals, snacks and drinks helps you maximize your workout. For starters, you need to eat something every 2-4 hours to keep your blood sugar levels stable and your energy high enough to boost your metabolism. By coordinating your meals and snacks, you make sure that you are never too hungry to reach for the nearest bag of chips and will be able to train at any time during the day.

Ideally, you will need to eat a pre-exercise meal that will depend on the kind of exercises and workouts you do but generally they should be food that is easily digestible and high in complex carbohydrates like pasta, breads, salads and fruits. You can also go for a big salad that is high in protein or select a small amount of lean meat like chicken or fish. If you're the type who likes to train or exercise in the morning, a light snack of fruits, toast and an egg will probably be best.

On the other hand, if you would prefer to have a snack thirty minutes before you start your workout, it would be best to partake of trail mix, half a granola bar, a big banana or a few graham crackers to get your energy levels going. Remember though, to drink lots of water before you start working out so you can replenish the electrolytes you lose when you sweat. Make sure you keep yourself hydrated before, during and after your training and workouts to keep from being dehydrated.

To maximize your training and exercise, you need the best supplements to complement your sports nutrition efforts. Find them all at affordable prices on http://www.nutritionwarehouse.com.au and be at the top of your game every time, all the time.

Aerobic exercisers are the type who participate in additional cardiovascular activity. These are typically runners, ball players, etc. Aerobic exercisers generally go for long periods of time, and have hardly any genuine "pump-up" time as compared to anaerobic exercisers. The finest advice I can offer to aerobic exercisers is cleanse your skin or even bathe 30 minutes or less when you get done. After this 30 minute span, the waste your body discharged begins going back into your body. Aerobic exercisers should also concern themselves with how much they are moving. Over exercising can ware your body down and naturally it won't be able to recover as easily.

Anaerobic exercisers generally complete short spurts of intense exercise. These are generally your weightlifter and bodybuilder types. The issue with working out like this is that they generally have "pump-up" time. This pump up time requires a rapid shock of strength, possibly natural or from caffeinated pre-workouts, which may cause additional stress. The smartest thing to do is space your routines out. Don't cram a great deal into one period, but gradually workout. Additionally, decreasing the high levels of caffeine could reduce increased stress levels. Stay away from and androgenic supplements that can spike hormones. As I'm sure you are all aware one of the well-known side effects of steroid use is acne.

Non-exercisers are the most unfortunate, when considering working out to eliminate acne. These are the people that get little or no exercise in their everyday living. This insufficient exercise could harm your body in several ways, and finally will reach your skin. Don't jump right into working out though, you'll get burnt out. Slowly raise your training time through several hobbies like sports with pals and your exercise won't even look like exercise!

Ridding your skin from the grime and sweat your body generates when you exercise is key to thoroughly clean skin. The sweat left on can block pores and develop acne. Shower or wash as soon as you can to get rid of the contaminants. Some organizations produce wipes for instant cleansing, and pads can be an excellent quick solution. Never over-work yourself! Working out is significant to cure pressure, but over doing it can cause stress too.

Natural Alternatives to Manage Your Hair Loss

Herbs

Dong Quai (Chinese Angelica) / Green Tea (Camellia Sinesis) / Horsetail
People have been using herbs to treat all kinds of conditions and ailments for thousands of years. Indeed, some of these herbs, like valerian and foxglove, are the basis for modern pharmaceuticals. Here are three powerful herbs.

Dong Quai
Dong quai is also known as Chinese angelica and its root is used for herbal medicine. Though many people believe that dong quai is exclusively an herb for women's problems, it has other uses as well. Dong quai is used to treat allergies, because it reduces the number of antibodies made by the immune system. If there are fewer antibodies in the system, the allergic reactions to substances like pollen will be less severe. It also eases fatigue and may lower hypertension. Dong quai also has antioxidant properties, which means it guards against free radical damage.

But when it comes to women's conditions, dong quai is very good at reducing the discomforts of menopause, especially hot flashes. It also stimulates menstrual bleeding for women who suffer from amenorrhea. Dong quai should be avoided by pregnant women.

Green Tea
Green tea, like black tea, comes from the leaves of the camellia sinensis plant, but has had minimal processing. Green tea is affective in lowering high blood pressure and guards against cardiovascular disease. Some studies say that green tea also lowers the levels of LDL or "bad" cholesterol in the body. It's very high in flavinoids, which are compounds that guard against certain cancers and have antioxidant properties.

Horsetail
This interesting plant, which, like fern, reproduces through spores instead of seeds, often grows as a weed in neglected gardens. Still, it has many beneficial uses. Like dong quai, horsetail is also used for women's problems. Horsetail has been known to reduce excessive menstrual bleeding and reduces scar tissue or keeps it flexible. This is important for women with endometriosis, a condition where uterine tissue attaches itself to other areas in the body and causes scarring. Horsetail was once given to people with tuberculosis to reduce scarring in the lungs. Horsetail is also good for supporting the formation of connective tissue, and can reduce bleeding caused by kidney stones.

Horsetail, dong quai and green tea can be taken in various ways. Horsetail and dong quai can be made into teas like the leaves of the camellia sinensis, though some users may find the taste off-putting. The tea can be sweetened with sugar, honey or glycerin. These herbs can also be made into tinctures, which are concentrated forms. The herb is steeped in alcohol, which draws out its best properties, including those that aren't water soluble. At the same time, the tincture leaves behind useless properties like cellulose. Tinctures are often both stronger than teas and better tasting.

Plants

Aloe Vera / Ginkgo Biloba / He Shou Wu / Saw Palmetto / Stinging Nettle
Nobody likes to look in the mirror and realize they are losing their hair. Men have options for baldness in the form of prescription drugs, and both men and women can use chemical hair loss treatments. However, all of these remedies for baldness come with some side effects. Fortunately, there are more homeopathic options to treat hair loss that are safer and more natural.

Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is a succulent plant with fleshy leaves. The leaves are filled with a gel-like substance that is used for many medicinal reasons like soothing burns, scrapes, and cuts. However, most people may not realize that it can also be used for hair growth.

Aloe Vera supports hair growth by increasing blood circulation in the scalp. An enzyme in the gel stimulates the growth of new hair follilcles as well as the growth of hair from existing hair follicles. Aloe Vera also cleans the scalp and balances its level of pH. With proper blood flow and a clean scalp, hair will grow faster. Aloe Vera also prevents the loss of exisitng hair if it is used when thinning is first noticed.

Ginko Biloba
Ginko Biloba has been used for over 500 years in China to treat many different disorders, including hair loss. Like Aloe Vera, Ginko helps to stimulate blood circulation, but throughout the entire body and not just in the scalp. More blood flow to the head is nourishing for the hair follicles. There have been studies that demonstrated that shampoos that contain Ginko Biloba decreased hair loss in the participants
Saw Palmetto
This plant is native to our country and can be found along Florida and Georgia's coast. The important ingredients in saw palmetto are in the berries that the plant produces. It has become a popular to use for the most common type of hair loss known as androgenic alopecia, otherwise known as male and female-pattern baldness. It is thought that saw palmetto blocks the enzyme that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone, the main contributor to this type of baldness.

Stinging Nettle
The leaves, roots, stems, and seeds of the stinging nettle plant are used to treat many things from arthritis, to allergies, to hair loss. These plants grow wild in many places around the world and they are used not only medicinally but as food as well.

When used as a hair rinse, stinging nettle can not only regenerate the growth of hair but also help it change back to its original color. Like with saw palmetto, it is believed that stinging nettle stops the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone to stop hair loss.

He Shou Wu
This Chinese herb has been used for hundreds of years to stop hair loss. It is full of antioxidants and provides a number of important nutrients that are vital for healthy hair growth. It also improves the blood circulation in the scalp to stimulate new growth.

How Red Light Therapy Can Make You Look Younger

Red light therapy is a technology that stirs up a little magic within your skin by prompting over 24 positive responses at a cellular level. Red, yellow, and infrared LEDs are all effective at encouraging a more youthful appearance that looks awake and healthy. Each LED color is able to penetrate to a different depth with red and infrared going deeper into skin and tissue than the yellow LEDs.

Yellow LEDs are effective at treating sunburns, rosacea, and eczema. These LEDs diminish redness and swelling while helping to rejuvenate the skin. Some studies have shown that yellow light therapy improves lines and wrinkles as well. The Caribbean Sun Light combines red and yellow LEDs to promote a healthier and more vibrant complexion.

Red LEDs stimulate collagen production, boost cellular repair, and increase circulation. Because of the high content of blood and water within your tissue, your skin is able to readily absorb red light resulting in intense skin rejuvenation and cellular regeneration. Red light therapy aids in reducing lines and wrinkles, diminishing age spots, reducing scarring, promoting a more even skin tone plus so much more.

Infrared LEDs, which are naked to the human eye, are able to penetrate deeper into skin and tissue than red and yellow LEDs combating the signs of aging by accelerating healing, replenishing dermal and epidermal cells, and kicking the reparative processes into gear. The DPL Therapy System incorporates both red and infrared LEDs into one hands free unit that encourages younger looking skin with fewer lines and wrinkles.

As we age our collagen and elastin production slows down, cell turnover decreases, and sun damage rears its not so pretty head. Meanwhile free radicals and gravity wreak havoc on your skin making it look older and lifeless. Red light therapy has been shown to reverse the signs of aging by helping the natural processes work more effectively and work as though they were younger. Collagen and elastin are two crucial proteins within the skin that are responsible for its bounce, firmness, and keeping wrinkles at bay. With the help of red light therapy you can increase the production of both of these important proteins which results in firmer skin with less wrinkles.

Benefits of red light therapy:
  • Minimizes the appearance of lines and wrinkles
  • Shrinks pore size
  • Improves the appearance of skin tone and texture
  • Reduces brown spots
  • Repairs sun damaged skin
  • Decreases scarring
  • Reduces redness
  • Stimulates collagen production
Aging is inevitable, but with tools like red light therapy, you can do something about it and encourage your skin to look younger and more alive. Red light therapy has over 40 years of research backing it and has helped countless men and women look younger without invasive procedures. This is a treatment that is here to stay and can make a difference in your skin.
